Our June meeting at Bentley Wildfowl was the second 'family friendly'
gathering of 2004. Bentley caters for many car clubs throughout
the year and therefore allowed us to have our 'Rally' within the
grounds of Bentley itself. Members lined up their meticulously polished
cars in a row to form an amazing display of SAABs.
Bentley Wildfowl is a wonderful place for all the family. They
have plenty there for a whole days stay including;
- Motor museum
- Adventure playground
- Miniature steam train
- Formal Gardens
- Wildfowl Reserve
- Licensed restaurant
We all started off with a tour of the motor museum and on display
were fabulous examples of vehicles from the past, the most notable
were the gull-winged DeLorean and the Sinclair C5! Afterwards we
separated to make our own way around Bentley. The weather on the
day was absolutely splendid and we were graced with glorious sunshine
all-day long. Applying the sun cream at regular intervals was vital
so as to not get burned.
A fabulous day was had by all that attended and put many in the
mood for the Lydden Festival on 11th July. The venue for our next
family meeting in October is yet to be confirmed and ideas are welcomed.
Next Meeting: Sunday 11th July
at the Lydden Festival. < DETAILS >
