October 2003 Meeting Report

The inaugural meeting of East Sussex Saab was held at the Blackboys Inn in Blackboys. Although slightly cold, the weather was fantastic. The sun was shining and it was a glorious afternoon.

We had a total of 27 members and non-members arrive, which was outstanding.

Once the meeting was underway, we had a few formalities to deal with. The main event was electing a Secretary, Chairman and Treasurer. Toby Field was elected Secretary, Mike Hope was elected Chairman and Richard Dickins was elected Treasurer.

A future meeting schedule was established. We decided that future meetings would be the 2nd Tuesday of every month starting at 8pm. Every 4th meeting would be the 2nd Sunday of the month starting at 1pm.

We had a good mixture of Saabs at the meeting but there was a lack of pre-1980's vehicles.
