Our first family meeting of 2004 was held on a bright
but cold day at Coopers near Stone Cross.
Coopers proved to be a very friendly and welcoming venue, with
plenty of parking and play facilities for children.
As the seating was on a first-come, first-served basis, those
that arrived early seemed to find the most appropriate place to
sit. Because Coopers is a busy pub/restaurant, the noise level
was higher than it has been at previous meetings, so it was difficult
to talk to the group as a whole without shouting. General conversation
amongst each other however, was more than acceptable.
One of the key topics discussed was the Abbott Racing Excursion
on 27th March. Because most people want to take their own cars,
it was decided that we would scrap the idea of taking a minibus.
The other key topic of conversation was that of Branch merchandise.
The Branch has many items of merchandise available from mugs to
t-shirts and stickers to hats. The Branch sells only its own merchandise.
SAAB Owners Club merchandise is available via any issue of Driver
or by visiting the Owners Club website at www.saabclub.co.uk.
Next Meeting: Tuesday 9th March in Crowborough. < DETAILS
