Our July meeting was held at our regular venue, the Horseshoe
Inn.
The evening was nice and sunny and attendance was slightly above
average. Many of us met in the car park where we started chatting
before going inside. John Winter was on hand again with his digital
camera to take some nice photos of members’ cars.
The general topics of discussion were the Lydden Festival on 11th
July and the next meeting, which is to be a BBQ on 10th August (for
details of the BBQ please go to Page 3).
Some members were talking about performance modifications, and
in particular, measuring the actual performance of their vehicles.
It was suggested that we could arrange a day for the branch where
we visit a rolling road to see what the power output of our vehicles
is. If enough people are seriously interested, we could probably
arrange something at a reduced rate. If you are interested, please
get in touch with the Branch Secretary (see Contact
Us).
The subject of a Track day was brought up again as some had recently
been to one and others that had attended the Lydden Festival were
interested in whether or not we could organise one for SAAB Owners
Club members at the Lydden Circuit. Watch this space for future
updates.
Next Meeting: Tuesday 10th August
at the Treasurer's House in Uckfield. <
