Sweden 2026: Three Iconic Events for Every Saab Owner

For the Saab community, 2026 is shaping up to be a legendary year. If you are planning a trip "home" to Sweden, there are actually three separate events you can participate in. Depending on whether you prefer high-speed track action, international club camaraderie, or rare museum history, 2026 has it all.

1. Saabfesten: Raw Power at the Test Track (May 2–3)

Kick off the spring at the spiritual heart of Saab testing. Held at the T-Engineering (formerly Saab) Test Track in Trollhättan, this is the event for those who love the mechanical and performance side of the brand.

• The Vibe: Action-packed. Think 201m drag timing, test-track driving sessions, and a vibrant motor festival atmosphere.
• Why go: It’s a rare chance to take your own car onto the tarmac where Saab engineers once pushed prototypes to their limits.

2. The Box: The Museum's "Total Reveal" (June 6 – Sept 30)

While the main Saab Car Museum building undergoes roof renovations, the entire collection is moving next door to the Nova Arena for a massive temporary exhibition called "The Box."

• The Vibe: Historic and immersive. Because the arena is much larger than the standard museum, they are bringing nearly 140 cars out of the archives.
• Why go: This is a once-in-a-lifetime display. You will see prototypes, one-offs, and rally legends that are usually hidden away in deep storage.
• Opening: It launches on Sweden’s National Day (June 6) and runs all summer.

3. IntSaab 2026: The International Gathering (Aug 7–9)

The "Big One" for the global club community. This year, it moves away from Trollhättan to Bro Park near Stockholm to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Swedish Saab Club.

• The Vibe: Social and celebratory. It’s all about the community, the "trunk sale" parts markets, and gala dinners.
• Why go: To celebrate two major 50th birthdays: the Swedish Club and the Saab 99 Combi Coupé (5-door). It’s the primary international meeting for 2026.
